Before you get started:
- If there was not a reportable event (for instance, a contribution made into the account during the year, a distribution taken from the account during the year or a rollover of a retirement account), you will not receive a tax form
- Form 5498 for IRA contributions is generated and available in your online account in late May, since it reflects contributions made up to the tax-filing deadline in April. Form 5498 is not required to be filed with your tax return.
- Access the tax form schedule to find out when tax forms will be available
- Get your tax forms up to three weeks earlier by signing up for paperless delivery
How to access your statements and tax forms:
- Log in to your account and go to the Statements & Tax forms tab
- Click the appropriate tax year. (Note: For the most recent tax forms, select 2023.)
- Tax forms are displayed by account and fund.* Click the appropriate tax form or statement to view or download it.
* The website identifies the available tax forms for each fund you own. If you own multiple funds in the same account type, the information is combined into one tax form. While it’s important to be aware of each of the funds in your account with reportable information, you can obtain all your funds’ information in one tax form.
