LONDON, February 23, 2021 — Capital Group, one of the world’s largest and most experienced investment firms, with more than US$2.3 trillion in assets under management*, today announced the appointment of Rob Hardy as Corporate Governance Director and member of the firm’s ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) leadership team. Hardy joined Capital Group in February and will be based in London.
Hardy has over 25 years of industry experience and was most recently head of Investment Stewardship for the EMEA region at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, where he led the formulation and oversight of the firm’s ESG strategy and public policy. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 1996, Hardy was a Corporate Governance and proxy voting specialist at Phillips & Drew Fund Management.

Hardy holds a bachelor’s degree with honours in French Language, Literature and History from the University of East Anglia (UEA), and is a member of the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN).
