Thatcher Thompson is an equity portfolio manager at Capital Group. As an equity investment analyst, he covers small-caps as a generalist, large-cap business services and payments in the U.S. He has 31 years of investment industry experience and has been with Capital Group for 17 years. Prior to joining Capital, he was a managing director of equity research at CIBC World Markets, a vice president of equity research at Merrill Lynch, and also worked at Dain Bosworth. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Gonzaga University. Thatcher is based in San Francisco.
