M. Taylor Hinshaw is an equity portfolio manager at Capital Group. As an equity investment analyst, he covers the U.S. for thrift and mortgage finance, consumer finance, insurance, mortgage REITS and convertible securities. He has 26 years of investment experience and has been with Capital Group for 22 years. Earlier in his career at Capital, he covered airlines. Prior to joining Capital, Taylor was at Aon in Chicago. He holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School, a master’s degree in philosophy from the University of California, San Diego, where he was an Andrew W. Mellon Fellow in Philosophy and a National Science Foundation Fellow in the Philosophy of Science, and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and economics from Duke University graduating summa cum laude. Taylor is based in San Francisco.
