Joerg Sponer is an equity portfolio manager at Capital Group. As an equity analyst, he covers European diversified financials and banks. Earlier in his career at Capital, he covered global tobacco companies and Latin American financials. He has 21 years of investment experience and has been with Capital Group for 17 years. Prior to joining Capital, Joerg worked at Goldman Sachs & Co. and Accenture. During university, Joerg worked for Credit Suisse First Boston in Tokyo, Dresdner Bank in New York, and Deutsche Bank in Chicago. He holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and an MBA and master’s degree in economics from University/ETH Zurich in Switzerland. Joerg is based in London.
