Alex Shenkman is a portfolio strategy manager at Capital Group. Earlier in his career at Capital, as an equity analyst, he covered global tobacco companies as well as Russia as a generalist. Prior to that, he covered PC/enterprise hardware manufacturers and U.S. homebuilding and REITs. He has 32 years of investment industry experience and has been with Capital Group for 23 years. Prior to joining Capital, Alex was a research analyst with Merrill Lynch and a research associate with Sanford Bernstein. Before that, he was a consultant with Bankers Trust. He holds an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a bachelor’s degree from Moscow Telecommunication Academia. Alex is based in Washington, D.C.
