Meet the new ETFs
KEY TAKEAWAYS
  • Capital Group launched 7 new actively managed ETFs to offer more choice to financial professionals in some of the most popular investment categories.
  • With the newest ETFs, Capital Group offers a comprehensive suite of 21 actively managed, objective-oriented ETFs designed to help strengthen the core of investors’ portfolios.
  • With this launch, financial professionals have the option to develop all-active ETF portfolios using Capital Group’s ETF suite.

We launched seven new equity and fixed income ETFs that seek to complement and expand our existing suite of active ETFs — bringing our current total to 21 ETFs in some of the most in-demand categories. Now financial professionals can select from a more comprehensive product suite as they seek to construct, refine and bolster client portfolios with Capital Group active ETFs.

Here’s an introduction to the newest funds in the suite:

Capital Group’s new equity ETFs

CGCV – Capital Group Conservative Equity ETF seeks to provide downside resilience by primarily investing in well-established companies (think: strong balance sheets and a history of paying dividends) in the United States and Canada. In a portfolio, it could be considered for a U.S. large-cap value allocation.

CGIC – Capital Group International Core Equity ETF combines international growth with a dividend focus, which means it mainly invests in strong, dividend-paying companies located outside of the U.S., including in emerging markets. It seeks to help reduce volatility in a portfolio and could be considered for a core international allocation.

CGGE – Capital Group Global Equity ETF aims to take a prudent approach to global investing and could be considered for a core global allocation. It primarily invests in global companies based in developed markets as it pursues a smoother return profile over full market cycles.

CGNG – Capital Group New Geography Equity ETF is an option for a developing markets allocation and aims to provide superior long-term, risk-adjusted results via opportunities in developing countries. It focuses on companies in developing countries and multinational companies with exposure to developing countries.

Capital Group’s new fixed income ETFs

CGUI – Capital Group Ultra Short Income ETF is focused on high-quality securities with ultra short durations (it has an average duration of one year or less to limit its sensitivity to interest rates). The fund seeks capital preservation and relies on deep fundamental research in its pursuit for better returns than cash alternatives. In a portfolio, it could serve as an alternative to cash, money market instruments or short-term Treasury bills.

CGIB – Capital Group International Bond ETF (USD-Hedged) is a high-quality international bond fund that uses hedging to reduce volatility from exposure to foreign currencies. It invests in a broad range of international fixed income securities to pursue attractive risk-adjusted return opportunities beyond U.S. bonds.

CGHM – Capital Group Municipal High-Income ETF could be considered for part of a core municipal allocation. It relies on Capital Group’s municipal research capabilities to invest in higher yielding and lower rated municipal bonds — while staying mindful of risk management — in its pursuit of higher income that’s exempt from regular federal income tax.

Including the new funds, we now offer Capital Group’s signature active management in 21 ETFs across 18 popular investment categories. As with all the ETFs in our suite, the newest funds are designed to help strengthen the core of an investor’s portfolio — whether it’s constructed entirely of ETFs or uses ETFs to strengthen existing allocations.

“Financial professionals can now choose from 21 Capital Group ETFs, which sit within some of the largest and most commonly allocated categories,” said Scott Davis, ETF director at Capital Group. “Our robust suite of ETFs gives financial professionals and their clients the ability to construct model portfolios, for which we’ve heard a clear demand, as well as access to Capital Group’s long-term, active approach to investment management, low fees and potential for above-benchmark returns as they pursue their long-term financial goals.”

*REQUIRED FIELDS

Investments are not FDIC-insured, nor are they deposits of or guaranteed by a bank or any other entity, so they may lose value.
Investors should carefully consider investment objectives, risks, charges and expenses. This and other important information is contained in the fund prospectuses and summary prospectuses, which can be obtained from a financial professional and should be read carefully before investing.
Capital Group exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are actively managed and do not seek to replicate a specific index. ETF shares are bought and sold through an exchange at the then current market price, not net asset value (NAV), and are not individually redeemed from the fund. Shares may trade at a premium or discount to their NAV when traded on an exchange. Brokerage commissions will reduce returns. There can be no guarantee that an active market for ETFs will develop or be maintained, or that the ETF's listing will continue or remain unchanged.
Investments in mortgage-related securities involve additional risks, such as prepayment risk.
The use of derivatives involves a variety of risks, which may be different from, or greater than, the risks associated with investing in traditional securities, such as stocks and bonds.
Lower rated bonds are subject to greater fluctuations in value and risk of loss of income and principal than higher rated bonds.
The return of principal for bond funds and for funds with significant underlying bond holdings is not guaranteed. Fund shares are subject to the same interest rate, inflation and credit risks associated with the underlying bond holdings.
Income from municipal bonds may be subject to state or local income taxes and/or the federal alternative minimum tax. Certain other income, as well as capital gain distributions, may be taxable.
Funds that concentrate investments in specific asset classes, industries, markets or sectors may underperform or be more volatile than, the general securities markets or funds that do not have such concentration.
Investing outside the United States involves risks, such as currency fluctuations, periods of illiquidity and price volatility. These risks may be heightened in connection with investments in developing countries.
The fund's use of forward currency contracts to hedge all or substantially all of the fund's foreign currency exposure could result in losses to the fund if currencies do not perform as expected. Forward currency contracts are considered derivatives instruments, and the use of derivatives involves a variety of risks, which may be different from, or greater than, the risks associated with investing in traditional securities, such as stocks and bonds.
As nondiversified funds, Capital Group ETFs have the ability to invest a larger percentage of assets in securities of individual issuers than a diversified fund. As a result, a single issuer could adversely affect a fund's results more than if the fund invested a smaller percentage of assets in securities of that issuer. Refer to the applicable prospectus for details.
