Whether it is private equity (PE) firms looking to take a majority stake, financial investors interested in a minority investment or larger wealth firms looking to expand by completing full buyouts or mergers amongst equals, there is no shortage of opportunities to turn your equity into cash.
Given that I’ve been through eight capital raises and two full sales over the past three decades, I thought it might be useful to offer a simple primer on how RIA owners should be thinking about the options in front of them.
