Mary Kate Gulick, a longtime marketing executive for such powerhouse firms as Carson Group, TD Ameritrade and IBM, has launched her own marketing firm MK Wealth Marketing, to serve RIAs and wealth managers.
With four clients so far and plans to grow in the near future, Gulick said the desire to start her own firm came from wanting to help wealth managers market their services in a way that would resonate with clients — that, and the fact that she had done pretty much everything else already.
‘I look at other entrepreneurs in our industry with this sense of total awe, and I’m just like, “Wow, how did you have the cojones to do this?”’ Gulick said. ‘So for me, this is like one of the last big achievements for me to unlock.’
