Utah RIA Soltis Investment Advisors has brought on Jeffrey Harris, a former dealmaking executive with mega-RIA Carson Group, to head up its own M&A efforts.
Harris, previously Carson Group’s associate vice president of mergers and acquisitions, has joined Soltis as its head of M&A and partnerships, the firm said Tuesday. In the newly created role, Harris will work to source potential partner firms while expanding Soltis’s ‘geographic reach,’ according to the firm. Harris will report to Kim Anderson, Soltis’s president and chief executive.
Harris worked at Carson Group for eight years, according to his LinkedIn profile, including as an M&A manager and senior M&A analyst. Harris said that when he started at Carson, it had roughly $5bn in assets under management, with that figure ballooning to more than $41bn by the time he departed.
