Naomi Kobayashi is a Managing Partner of Capital Group Private Markets with primary responsibility for legal, risk and operational areas. She has been a member of the Portfolio Management Committee since 2018. Prior to joining the Private Markets team in 1998, Naomi was a corporate associate at the law firm of Latham & Watkins in Los Angeles from 1994 to 1998 and a judicial law clerk for The Honorable Wm. Matthew Byrne, Jr., in the Central District of California, U.S. District Court from 1993 to 1994. Naomi received her J.D. from The Yale Law School and a B.A. in economics from Columbia College, Columbia University.
